According to this theory, the only way to progress was by following the model of the Europeans. If we we wanted to be rational we should follow their lead and adopt their system. The problem with this is that it overlooks the fact that each nation had its own unique identity. The society of the Europeans was not the same as the Indians or Africans. You cannot just blindly copy them and expect to reap success.
